WELCOME TO THE ARKANSAS COALITION TO ABOLISH THE DEATH PENALTY
Organized in 1977, the coalition brings together religious and civil liberties organizations to focus their efforts on the repeal of the death penalty in Arkansas.
We seek to educate the state's citizens on the effects of the death penalty. We bear witness to its discriminatory application in this state.
We recognize the effects of capital murnder on the victim's family but believe that revenge through state executions neither heals nor restores.
We believe that the costly system does not deter crime. And, as people of faith, we believe that the death penalty is morally and ethically repugnant
